Randy Russell

Senior Program Officer

Randy is responsible for the development and operation of grant programming through the Metropolitan Springfield and Coover Regional grant programs, as well as Field of Interest , Arts Programming Sustainability, Historic Preservation, Ripley Butler Clay grants for the arts, and the Weaver orthodontic and Webster County dental funds. He is staff liaison or the grant review panels mentioned above.  He coordinates activities resulting from grant outcomes, including the Collaborative Arts Endowment effort, early childhood initiatives and program support for the Community Partnership of the Ozarks. In July 2013, he was named Director of the Any Given Child Springfield Missouri program, a national partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Randy began work at the Foundation in October 2003 after 28 years at Springfield Public Schools, as a teacher, coach, curriculum specialist and Director of Professional Development. He also served as Director of Marketing for Juanita K. Hall for the Performing Arts at Missouri State University during its inaugural year. Randy was the eighth recipient of the Ozzie Award for service to the arts in 1992, and was named as the 2000 Volunteer of the Year through the City of Springfield and Council of Churches. In 2012, he received the Springfield “Humanitarian” award. He represents the CFO on the Community Partnership of the Ozarks, the Missouri State University College of Arts and Letters Advisory Board, as well as in an advisory capacity for the Springfield Regional Arts Council.
