  1. Dear Mrs. Silvey,
You will most likely not have any memory of me, but I was in your class at WPHS in 1965-66. I have always remembered you as my favorite teacher of all time. In thinking about you (which I do often) I remember that you truly liked being with us and teaching us. I looked forward to your classes and wanted to be just like you when I grew up. We moved from West Plains in the summer of 1966 so I wasn’t able to graduate with my class there in 1968, but we did stay in touch for a little while. (As a memory boost, my parents owned the LeAnn Bakery in the old bank building off the square).

I looked you up on the Internet recently and read some things about what you are doing now in helping to preserve the traditions and workmanship of the Ozarks, which is so important! I still admire you and respect you. Would love to hear from you and restablish contact. Congratulations on your award. I know you’ve accomplished wonderful things and have influenced many people!
