This week’s Community Foundation of the Ozarks News-Leader column, penned by our President and CEO Brian Fogle, is about Tax Day (that’s today, if you’ll recall… hopefully you did). His hope: That in addition to being the deadline to pay Uncle Sam, we use April 15 as a day to celebrate generosity and, in process, make that act paying Uncle Sam a little less of a burden. Springfield does a good job in this, ranking 72nd out of 366 U.S. urban areas in percentage of income as charitable contributions.

The CFO’s column runs weekly in rotation with other organizations on the News-Leader’s Community page, which is published daily. We appreciate this opportunity to share our work with News-Leader readers across the region.
