The Community Foundation of Taney County recently granted $3,000 to six Forsyth-area agencies as part of the annual grant round from the Forsyth Area Community Grantmaking Fund, established to help non-profits in and around the Taney County community.
The Forsyth Community Foundation expanded to include all of Taney County, a fund was kept exclusively for Forsyth-area grantmaking (the group added Branson-area grantmaking at that time). Now, each fund has its own committees that review applications and award grants. These committees are made up primarily of non-board members, but include board representation.
This year’s six Forsyth-area grant recipients are:
Tantone Industries received $450 for a “Fire Starter Expansion Project.”
Forsyth Boys & Girls Club received $265 toward the “Community Family Fun Night.”
Women’s Crisis Center, was the recipient of $1,000 toward the purchase of a washer and dryer.
Bradleyville Rural Volunteer Fire Dept received $300 toward the purchase of tables for their community room.
Forsyth High School International Thespian Society Club received $600 toward the purchase of stage lights.
Master Gardeners of the Ozarks was the recipient of $385 for its Native Plant Demonstration Garden project at the Extension office in Forsyth.
