CFO announces 20 new funds

New funds are popping up like spring flowers at the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. Twenty new funds have been established with Community Foundation of the Ozarks since the first of February through March 17. Eight of the twenty funds were established by CFO Endowment Partners. Thirteen of the new funds were established with regional affiliate foundations, highlighting the continued growth of charitable assets serving communities across the Ozarks. A complete list of new funds follows.

Community Foundation of the Ozarks

  • College Quest Foundation – This designated capacity building fund was established to accelerate academic achievement of middle and secondary students matriculating from rural public schools in Missouri.
  • Help Give Hope Endowment Fund – Help Give Hope, which provides to families in times of crisis, established this organizational endowment fund to provide resources for their sustainability. Help Give Hope is an Endowment Partner.
  • Springfield-Greene County Emergency Management Education Fund – The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management established this fund for education and training. The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management is an Endowment Partner.
  • Johnson County Historical Society Capacity Building Fund – This organizational capacity building fund was established by the Johnson County Historical Society to assist with their current needs. The Johnson County Historical Society is a CFO Endowment Partner.
  • James and Virginia McIntosh Scholarship Fund – This Sullivan school district fund will provide a scholarship to a graduate of Sullivan Public Schools attending any Missouri 4 year college or university in memory of James and Virginia McIntosh.
  • Missouri Minerals Education Foundation Fund – This organizational capacity building fund was established by the Missouri Minerals Education Foundation to house funds to assist with their projects and programs. The Missouri Minerals Education Foundation is an Endowment Partner.
  • Southwest Missouri Swimming Advisory Board Fund – This designated capacity building fund was established by the Southwest Missouri Swimming Advisory Board to construct public swimming facilities in the Springfield southwest Missouri area.

Cassville Community Foundation

  • Cassville Skatepark Fund – This designated capacity building was established by Cassville Community 2000 to build a skate park in Cassville, Missouri.

El Dorado Springs Community Foundation

  • El Dorado Springs Administrative Endowment Fund – The El Dorado Springs Community Foundation established this fund to assist with their operational and administrative needs.

Finley River Community Foundation

  • Christian County Domestic Violence Fund – The Christian County Domestic Violence Taskforce established this capacity building fund to assist with the funding of their organization. The Christian County Domestic Violence Taskforce is an Endowment Partner.

Hickory County Community Improvement Foundation

  • Donnie Vaughn Memorial FFA Scholarship Fund – The Vaughn family established this scholarship fund in memory of Donnie Vaughn. It will be awarded to a graduating FFA student of Weaubleau High School.

Marshfield Area Community Foundation

  • Kurt Mikal Luebbert Memorial Fund – Jane Robertson established this unrestricted endowment fund to benefit the Marshfield Area Community Foundation’s community grantmaking program in memory of her son.

Nixa Community Foundation

  • Christian County Domestic Violence Fund – The Christian County Domestic Violence Taskforce established this capacity building fund to assist with the funding of their organization. The Christian County Domestic Violence Taskforce is an Endowment Partner.
  • Nixa Rotary Park Fund – The Nixa Rotary Club established this designated capacity building fund to distribute to the City of Nixa for the Nixa Rotary Park.

Stockton Community Foundation

  • Ted and Cleva Sell Scholarship Fund – This scholarship fund was established by the Stockton Public School Foundation for a graduating senior who is hardworking, has good character and has overcome obstacles.

Table Rock Lake Community Foundation

  • Tri Lakes Board of Realtors Good Neighbor Fund – This corporate grantmaking fund was established by the Tri Lakes Board of Realtors to help them streamline and simply their charitable giving. Learn more about this fund.

Taney County Community Foundation

  • Tri Lakes Board of Realtors Good Neighbor Fund – This corporate grantmaking fund was established by the Tri Lakes Board of Realtors to help them streamline and simply their charitable giving. Learn more about this fund.
  • Tri-Lakes Community Hospices Fund – The Community Hospice of America Foundation established this capacity building fund to provide funds for their Tri-Lakes area patients and families. Tri-Lakes Community Hospices is an Endowment Partner.

Truman Lake Community Foundation

  • Samuel A. Sloan, Evelyn Sloan and Beulah Sloan McCoy Scholarship Fund – This scholarship fund was established by Daryl B. and Mildred L. Sloan to provide college and technical school scholarships to students graduating from Sherwood Cass R-8 High School, Creighton, Missouri. Two or more sch. shall be awarded annually based upon scholarship, citizenship and financial needs with no particular emphasis on one criterion over another. Students may be selected who are already attending college but who have graduated from Sherwood Cass R-8 High School.

Community Foundation of West Plains

  • Howell County Extension Council Fund – The Howell County Extension Council established this organizational capacity building fund to assist with their programs. Brenda Bell will serve as the contact. The Howell County Extension Council is a CFO Endowment Partner.
