The 2010-11 Metropolitan Springfield Arts and Culture grant cycle is now available for proposals from eligible arts and cultural non-profit agencies in Greene County.
This grant cycle is for requests that address issues of audience development and sustainable funding, which were identified as emerging needs in the “Arts and Culture” section of the 2009 Community Focus Report for Springfield-Greene County.
The program has a total of $15,000 available, with a suggested range of $1,200 to $1,500 per request. Proposals should have a direct link to either audience development or sustainability and list specific program outcome expectations.
There is no deadline; requests will be considered as they are submitted as long as funding is available. The requests will be reviewed by the panel of the CFO’s Arts Programming and Sustainability Initiative.
Derek Munson, Managing Director of the newly titled SRO Lyric Theatre, said of this new grant opportunity: “For a re-organized opera company, assistance to help us improve long-range operational stability and build audiences is greatly appreciated and will definitely be utilized.”
Qualifying agencies should have 501(c)3 or similar faith-based or government IRS non-profit status.
