Empire moved out several years ago, but has been leasing the space to OACAC, which will continue to rent until the building is sold. Proceeds from the building will be put into the AACF’s community grantmaking fund.
“We appreciate the good work the Community Foundation of the Ozarks performs in Aurora and the southwest Missouri area,” said Brent Baker, general manager of customer service. “Their efforts in resource development, community grantmaking, collaboration and public leadership enhance the quality of life for citizens throughout the area. We are pleased to help further the mission.”
This is Empire’s second gift to the AACF. It also donated a parcel of land a few years ago.
“This is a generous donation,” AACF President Scott Pettit told the Aurora Advertiser. “Empire has been a good partner with the Foundation.”
