The CFO is back at work planning the third Give Ozarks Day, which will be held in communities across the region on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. We couldn’t be more excited to continue promoting philanthropy and giving across the Ozarks!
Two key deadlines are approaching:
Friday, Jan. 27: This is the deadline for nonprofits to apply for the up-to-$5,000 Give Ozarks Endowment Matching Grant opportunity from the CFO. Twenty agencies will be selected for the program. Once applications are closed, our volunteer committee will make its selections. Agencies should be notified during the first couple weeks of February. Click here to apply.
Jan. 27 is also the deadline for NEW Agency Partners — nonprofits that do not currently have funds open with the CFO — to establish those funds. Please contact Julie Leeth if someone you know is interested in starting this process.
Tuesday, Feb. 28: This is the deadline for agencies to sign up to participate in Give Ozarks. Because we have moved back and consolidated our training dates for 2017, it’s very important that we get a head count for Give Ozarks as early as possible. Please consult with your boards and volunteers and let us know if you plan to take part by this date. Fill out the Intent to Participate form here.
For our APs outside Springfield, we are offering opportunities – via our network of regional affiliate foundations – for “microbranding” in certain cities or areas with five or more nonprofits participating. Logos and a custom URL will be made available (for example “Give Carthage” and carthage.giveozarks.org; logo mockup at right) to help local donors better find and identify with your efforts. We’ll notify you of which locations will be microbranded in early March.
