Give Ozarks Day introduced to nonprofits, six-month blitz begins

In a little less than six months, the Community Foundation of the Ozarks will hold its first Give OzarksDay, an online, 24-hour day of giving meant to rally the Springfield and southern Missouri community around its nonprofits, schools and other organizations doing good work.

The first step came on Nov. 12 at the Springfield Art Museum, when representatives from scores of agencies got a first look at the program, learned how they can participate, and began the process of building their communications networks for the big day.

Agencies that weren’t able to make it to the event can find info at, including the PowerPoint presented by CFO staff and PDFs of the session hosted by Dan Prater, of Drury’s Center for Nonprofit Communications. Also, mark your calendars for Tuesday, Feb. 10 and Wednesday, April 8, the dates for the next (and final) two Give Ozarks education dates.
