Aurora Area Community Foundation raises $25,000 for Cooper Campaign

The Aurora Area Community Foundation honored donors at a special luncheon on Wednesday, February 27 at Bootleggers Restaurant in Aurora.

At the event, Randy Howard, Aurora Area Community Foundation president, announced that their organization has raised the $25,000 to be matched through the Harry Cooper Supply Company Campaign for the Ozarks. The Harry Cooper Supply Company Campaign for the Ozarks is a dollar for dollar challenge grant in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks that is part of an overall regional effort to enhance community grantmaking endowments, establish administrative/operations endowments, and promote appropriate and best practices by community foundation board of directors. This initiative is made possible through the generosity of the Harry Cooper Supply Company.

Tri Lakes Board of Realtors establishes Good Neighbor Fund

The Table Rock Lake Community Foundation and the Taney County Community Foundation are pleased to announce the creation of the Tri Lakes Board of Realtors Good Neighbor Fund. This corporate grantmaking fund was established by the Tri Lakes Board of Realtors to support their organization’s charitable giving efforts in support of the communities where they do business.
Representatives from the Tri Lakes Board of Realtors presented the leaders of the two community foundations serving the area with a check for $10,000 to establish the fund with on Thursday, February 28. The fund will be dual listed with the Table Rock Lake and Taney County Community Foundations. The Good Neighbor Fund was established as a corporate grantmaking fund, one of several types of funds available to businesses electing to partner with Community Foundation of the Ozarks or one of its 40 affiliate foundations for their charitable endeavors.

OHAF grants available

The Ozarks Health Advocacy Foundation (OHAF) is offering grants for critical medical, mental, and dental health-related needs in Ozarks communities. Concept letters are due by March 28, 2008. 9th Annual Regional Affiliate Foundation Conference

When: Wednesday, March 26, 2008, 11 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Where: CFO office, 425 E. Trafficway, Springfield, Mo

Registration/Meet & Greet begins at 11 a.m. with the welcome at 11:30 a.m.

Topics will include:
1. Investment performance Q & A with Jim Buchholz, Prime Buchholz and Associates
2. Recognition of affiliates who have reached $1 million in total assets
3. Working lunch session on the Harry Cooper Supply Company Campaign for the Ozarks
4. Long term strategic planning presentation
