Neosho Area Community Foundation Kicks off $100,000 Campaign

The Neosho Area Community Foundation kicked off its first major fundraising campaign with a community breakfast on Friday, Jan. 18. The campaign is an effort to raise $100,000 by the end of 2013 for the NACF’s endowment fund, which provides grantmaking dollars for use in Neosho and Newton County.

Founded in 2011, the NACF’s current president is Blake Heirholzer, who took over for founding president Mike Franks last year. CFO President Brian Fogle gave the keynote for the breakfast, which was attended by Neosho residents and city and civic leaders.

“What Blake and the board are trying to do here this morning is the hardest thing to, but it is the most important thing to do and that is to raise unrestricted funds so you can address needs today, tomorrow, 40 years from now,” he said, as recorded by the Neosho Daily News.

The CFO wishes the NACF, one of its newest affiliates, the best of luck in this campaign.
