New Funds Friday: Dec. 4

As often as possible, we like to share the news of new groups and individuals choosing to make philanthropic gifts and investments in their community. 125 Club Fund – This fund will support the Boys & Girls Club of the Greater West Plains area. This is a component fund of the Community Foundation of West Plains.

The Anonymous Fund (Mountain Grove) – This family and community fund will assist the establisher with anonymity and simplify his/her giving. Component of Mountain Grove Area Community Foundation.

Mae, Grace, and George Bacon Scholarship Fund – Yvonne Leach Skouby established this scholarship fund for a college-bound senior at Belle High School. Mrs.  This is a component of the Meramec Regional Community Foundation.

Bernie Bahr Forestry Scholarship Fund – Mr. Bahr established this scholarship for a student who has completed two years of college credits and is committed to obtaining a degree in Forestry or related field. Preference for a student from Hermann High School, but open to students from Gasconade, Morgan or Calloway counties in Missouri. This is a component of the Community Foundation of the Hermann area.

Barton County Community Foundation Administrative Capacity Fund – This fund will support the administrative needs of Barton County Community Foundationand other grants as needed. Component fund of the Barton County Community Foundation.

Benton County Food Pantry Fund – This fund will support the pantry as it helps feed the hungry. Component of Benton County Community Foundation.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Capacity Fund – This fund will hold short term monies to provide children facing adversity a professionally support one to one relationship.

Board Technology Fund – This fund will support new technology needs at the Downtown Springfield Community Cinema, aka The Moxie.

Bright Beginnings Fund – This fund will support literacy in the Alton area through the Dollywood Foundation. It is a component of the Alton Community Foundation.

Dick Brumitt Scholarship Fund – The Three Rivers Endowment Trust established this fund.

Care to Learn Dadeville Fund – This fund will support the health, hunger and hygiene of the students in the Dadeville School District.

Coller Family Foundation – This family and community fund will allow the Coller family to give out grants in honor and memory of their mother, Kitty.

Community Foundation of Rogersville Grantmaking Endowment Fund – This fund will support the community grantmaking of the Community Foundation of Rogersville.

Merle & Marjorie Fleming Foundation – This family and community fund will help Marjorie plan her giving. Component fund of the Crawford County Foundation.

Fordland Memorial Library Fund – This fund will support and maintain the Fordland Memorial Library. It was established by a group of concerned citizens. It is a component of the Greater Seymour Area Foundation.

Betty Fowler Scholarship Fund – The Windsor High School Master Scholarship Endowment Fund established this scholarship fund. It is a component of the Truman Lake Community Foundation.

Grandpa’s House Fund – This fund will support providing a home environment to those with loved ones receiving health care at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

Greenfield High School Band Booster Fund – This fund will provide scholarships to graduating seniors from Greenfield R-IV School District. This is a component of the DACO Community Foundation.

Christina A. Harter/Run, Lead, Achieve Scholarship Fund – This scholarship fund established by Christina’s grandparents, Milton and Judy Folkins, will help a Logan-Rogersville graduate pursue high education.

Help Give Hope Salary Fund – This fund supports HGH’s mission to assist needy families, particularly children, in Southwest Missouri.

Henry County Library Endowment Fund – This fund supports the work of the library. Component of the Truman Lake Community Foundation.

Hickory County Community Building Fund – The Hickory County Community Wellness Foundation established this designated capacity fund to help build a community building. It is a component of the affiliate.

Betty Lu Hughes Library Fund – This giving circle fund established by Judy Cavender will be uses for books, magazines, videos and other reading material, electronic or digital equipment for educational or research needs, updates to carpet, window treatments or furnishings inside the library. Component of the St. James Area Community Foundation.

Ford W. Hughes Recreation & Forestry Fund – Judy Cavender established this giving circle which will provide grants for maintenance, repair, & replacement of recreation equipment, picnic areas and shelters and tennis courts in the St. James Park. It will also support maintenance, repair and restoration of the woodland, glade, and riparian areas of the St. James Park, including signage and hiking trails and paths. And finally maintenance and replacement of trees in the St. James park and other areas of St. James.Component of the St. James Area Community Foundation.

Junior Auxiliary of Taney County Fund – This fund will support the organization as it works to improve the lives of children in Taney County. Component of the Taney County Community Foundation.

Cathy Lloyd Scholarship Fund– Cathy Lloyd and Ross and Thomas Henson established this scholarship fund for Hermann High School graduates. Component fund of Community Foundation of the Hermann Area.

Master Gardeners of Greene County Fund – This fund established by the Greene County Extension Council and the Masters Gardeners of Greene County will disburse to the Extension Council for benefit of the gardeners.

Railroad Historical Museum Fund – This fund will hold monies to preserve the Frisco and other railroad history. The museum is located inside Grant Beach Park.

Russ Melton Scholarship Fund – This fund will award to a Cassville graduating senior with financial need, academic achievement, activities, leadership, and goals past high school taken into consideration.

Missouri Safe and Sober Fund – This fund will help educate students on the dangers of drugs and alcohol while reinforcing positive decision making and responsibility.

The Northwest Project Fund – This field of interest capacity fund will hold the grant money for organizations to move families out of poverty and into a sustainable financial state.

Nona “Grammy” Norwine Scholarship Fund – This scholarship fund established by the family of Nona Norwine will award to a Bradleyville graduate purusing an elementary education degree. Mrs. Norwine was a teacher and administrator in Bradleyville schools for 57 years. This is a component of the Community Foundation of Taney County.

Mathew W. Placzek Scholarship Fund – The Placzek family established this scholarship fund in memory of their husband and father.

Riverways Pregnancy Resource Center Endowment Fund – This fund will help the center in the long-term as it provides services to pregnant women and local families in need. Component of Dent County Community Foundation.

Riverways Pregnancy Resource Center Fund – This fund will support its work to offer free services to pregnant women and local families in need. This is a component of the Dent County Community Foundation.

Maurice R. and Patricia J. Sandfort Family Fund – This family and community fund will help Moe and Patricia with their personal giving. It is a component fund of the Community Foundation of the Greater Cape Girardeau Area.

SBDC Fund for the John Q. Hammons Enterprise Center – This fund will provide funding for the Enterprise Center and any upgrades it may need.

Scott’s Concrete Gifting Fund – This fund will help the business simplify their giving. Component of the Community Foundationof the Lake.

Skaggs Foundation Fund – This fund will hold immediate monies for the Skaggs Foundation.

Southwest Missouri Office on Aging – Meals Fund (SWMOAM)
Southwest Missouri Office on Aging – Service Fund (SWMOAS)
Southwest Missouri Office on Aging – General Fund (SWMOAG) – These funds will support different areas inside the Southwest Missouri Office on Aging.

Springfield Police Foundation – This fund will support the unmet needs of the Springfield Police Department.

Springfield Regional Opera Fund – This organizational capacity will hold monies to bring live locally produced opera to the Ozarks.

Team 5730 The Professionals Fund – This fund will support and inspire future engineers and leaders by building interest in STEM careers, fostering innovation and stimulating creativity through engineering challenges and community outreach programs. Component of Monett Area Community Foundation.

Temple in Training Fund – This fund will support agencies helping with critical needs for low-income families.  This is a component fund of the Owensville Area Community Foundation.

Webster County – Garst Memorial Library Fund – This fund will support the library in Marshfield. Component fund of the Marshfield Area Community Foundation.

Wesenberg Trust Endowment Fund – The Springfield-Greene County Library District established this revocable endowment.
