New Funds Friday: Sept. 21-Oct. 4

As often as possible, we like to share the news of new groups and individuals choosing to make philanthropic gifts and investments in their community. BEST EHS Vocational Scholarship Fund – The BEST Foundation established this scholarship fund.

Christian County Library Foundation Fund – This fund will support the work of the library as it looks toward the future. They are a new Agency Partner in the library category.

Laura Dinwiddie Memorial Fund – This fund will provide scholarships to the Eldon R-1 School District. It is a component of the Eldon Community Foundation.

Fordland Baseball Booster Club Fund – This fund will support the baseball program at the Fordland School District.

Friends of the James Memorial Public Library Fund – This fund will support the activities of the library. It is a component of the St. James Area Community Foundation.

Gainesville YEP Backpack Fund – The Gainesville Youth Empowerment Projecxt established this fund to support backpack program expenses. This is a component of Ozark County Community Foundation.

Marian C. Harvey Music Award Fund – This scholarship fund was established by William F. Harvey in honor of his mother and her love and devotion of music. This is a component of the Eldon Community Foundation.

W.N. and Leona Jenkins Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund – Wylma Jenkins Heiskell established this scholarship in memory of her parents to benefit Alton, Mo., High School graduates, who plan to obtain a degree in Elementary or Secondary Education. This fund is a component of Alton Community Foundation and Alton Public School Foundation.

Maries County R-II Schools Foundation Community Scholarship Fund
Maries County R-II Schools Foundation Fund
The newly formed Maries County R-II Schools Foundation established these two funds to begin their efforts of supporting the school district and the children it serves. Both are components of the Meramec Regional Community Foundation.

National Tiger Sanctuary Fund – This fund will support the agency’s work of creating a safe and protected environment to connect with the diversity of creation. This is a new Agency Partner in the environment and animal category and is a component fund of Community Foundation of Taney County.

Oregon County Cattlemen’s Association Fund – This giving circle fund will allow the group to provide charitable support in their area. The first grants go to support local FFA activities in Oregon County. This is a component of the Alton Community Foundatipn.

Strafford Backpack Fund – This fund established by the Strafford School Foundation will assist students in food insecure homes.

Strafford School Foundation Fund – This fund will support the newly created Strafford School Foundation. They are a new Agency Partner in the education category.

Woestman Family Fund – Kelly – This designated endowment fund established by James Woestman will support Carthage Police Department and Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri. This is a component fund of Carthage Community Foundation.

Woestman Family Fund – Sam – This fund established by James Woestman will support St. Ann Catholic Church and the St. Ann Catholic School. This is a component fund of Carthage Community Foundation.
