New Funds Friday: Sept. 29-Oct. 5

Every Friday, we share the news of new groups and individuals choosing to make philanthropic gifts and investments in their community. You can read more about types of funds available at CFO here. Alton Community Foundation Capacity Building Fund – This fund will grant to qualifying entities to support the work of the Alton Community Foundation.

Alton Public Schools Foundation Agriculture Fund – This fund will support the school district’s agriculture programs. This is a fund of the Alton Public Schools Foundation and Alton Community Foundation.

Conway Youth Empowerment Fund – This fund will benefit youth programming in Conway, Mo. This is a new YEP chapter.

The Steve W. Freeman and Harriett J. Freeman Fund – This fund will support nonprofit organizations that provide spay or neuter and early alteration services to dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in Southwest Missouri. The funds are to be used for the actual procedures and/or medications to spay and neuter and not for administrative costs or facility maintenance. This is a Legacy Fund as part of the Freeman’s estate. This is a component fund of the Marshfield Area Community Foundation.

Historic Hermann, Inc. Fund – This fund will hold monies to help the organization preserve and interpret the collective heritage of Hermann, Missouri and its environs. They are a component fund of the Community Foundation of the Hermann Area.

Mt. Vernon Stadium Fund – This fund will hold monies to build a new stadium at the Mt. Vernon High School. This is a component fund of the Mt. Vernon Area Community Foundation.

Robinson Blessings Fund – Ken and Georganne Robinson established this endowment as part of their estate plan. It will grant equally to the First Baptist Church in Forsyth, Mo., Forsyth Area Community Grantmaking Fund, Convoy of Hope, and Prison Fellowship. This is a component of the Community Foundation of Taney County, and a new Legacy Fund.

Spilde Family Foundation – This family and community fund was established by Troy and Marguerite Spilde to assist with their personal giving.
