Ozark Foothills Regional Community Foundation Emergency Flood Relief Fund

This grant is open to IRS-recognized nonprofit and charitable organizations serving Van Buren and/or Carter County; Doniphan and/or Ripley County; Ellington and/or Reynolds County; and Poplar Bluff and/or Butler County, Missouri.

The purpose of the Emergency Flood Relief Funds will be to support nonprofit agencies that serve clients directly or use a case-management process to assist victims and families of the flooding event of the spring 2017, specifically the FEMA disaster declaration DR-4317 with mid- to long-term recovery needs. Nonprofit agencies, including equivalent faith and education organizations, also would be eligible for funding if they were directly affected by the flooding of the spring of 2017, specifically, the FEMA disaster declaration DR-4317. This type of philanthropic funding is intended to fill funding gaps and leverage additional resources such as matching funds.

These funds will not be used for immediate food, clothing and shelter needs that are provided by a number of national and local disaster-response organizations. Those seeking immediate-needs funding are encouraged to contact agencies such as the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, or Convoy of Hope.

If you have questions about this grant application, please e-mail Matt Winters, Ozark Foothills Regional Community Foundation Coordinator at matt@ofrpc.org or call at (573) 785-6402. The application deadline is 4:00pm, Friday, November 17, 2017.
