The members of the Ste. Genevieve County Community Development Fund (CDF) Review Committee announced the application period for new applications to be considered for grants to be awarded in 2016. Grant applications must be postmarked by December 31, 2015 to be considered for the 2016 CDF grant review cycle. New grant applications are also being accepted for the 2016 Economic Development Fund grant program. Eligible grant applicants include government entities and not-for-profit organizations serving the residents and communities of Ste. Genevieve County. Nonprofit organizations must enclosed a copy of their federal IRS 501(c)3 letter issued in the name of the organization.

Both the Community Development grant fund and the Economic Development grant fund are associated with the Ste. Genevieve County Community Foundation and are made possible through an annual donation by Holcim, US Inc. Since its inception in 2006, the CDF grant program has provided local support to a wide array of grant applications, including public safety equipment, mutual aid training programs, rescue equipment and other needed items for county firefighters, emergency responders, local police, ambulance and the sheriff’s department; updates for the county website; special equipment for public water programs, the New Bourbon Port project, the county health department, the hospital, the recorder’s office and other nonprofit entities including Options for Women, the East Missouri Action Agency, the Young Mother Support program, Ozark Regional Library, the Farmer’s Market, Lion’s Club Park, Ste. Genevieve Industries/Sheltered Workshop, the Ste. Genevieve County Community Center, the Ste. Genevieve Nutrition Center and several food pantries serving the area.
The Ste. Genevieve County Community Foundation was formed in 2003 to promote charitable giving to support a wide variety of projects for the betterment of the community. The SGCCF accepts tax-deductible donations of money, property or other assets, which can be donated by individuals or corporations. These gifts to the community can be made as either recognized gifts or anonymous donations at any time.
