The Stockton Community Foundation continued its year-long 10th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, May 5 with the Dam Run. Seventy-eight walkers and runners joined together for the two-mile walk/run, a 5K run and the 10K run.
It was a beautiful day and the participants got to enjoy a great run across the Stockton Lake Dam and then down the Corps of Engineers’ new 1.6-mile Crab Tree Cove Trail. Runners and walkers came from all over the area, including from Fair Play, Springfield, Bolivar, El Dorado Springs, Stockton, and more.
Awards for the first overall finishers included:
Top female in the 10K was Jill Hankins with a time of 45:43.2
Top male in the 10K Justin Adams with a time of 37:22.9.
Top female in the 5K was Sheri Adams at 22:07.0
Top male in the 5K was Lane Hankins with a time of 20:21.1.
The youngest 5K runner was 9-year old Tristyn Marshall, who ran it in 34:42.0
The youngest participant overall in the days events, running two miles, was 7-year old Colby Adams.
Awards were also given for first and second place in the 5K and 10K by age group, with a total of 24 medals given.

The Stockton Community Foundation thanks all of the participants and sponsors and gives a special thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time on a Saturday morning to help raise money for their community.
