Stories of Hope and Help gets the YEP treatment

The subject of the most recent “Making a Difference: Stories of Hope and Help” segment with KSMU radio’s Mike Smith is the Youth Empowerment Project of Ozark (YEPO). For the last 14 years YEPO, one of the earliest chapters of the CFO’s Youth Empowerment Project, has promoted philanthropy at Ozark High School, with its primary fundraiser being a popular annual fall talent show.

For this segment, longtime YEPO sponsor and CFO Board Member Karen Miller spoke with Ozark graduate and former YEP co-president Brooke Widmar, now a sophomore at Missouri State University. The two have a long history and are high-energy people (Miller continues to sponsor the chapter even in retirement), and the result is a fun conversation — and you can hear a longer version of it online at KSMU.org.

Thanks, as always, to Smith and KSMU for supporting philanthropy across the Ozarks — and in our schools.
