Donors who want to support Branson’s tornado recovery efforts can now use their cell phones to text “Branson” to 41010 and make a $10 gift to The Community Foundation of Taney County for the Branson Area Tornado Relief and Recovery Fund.
Donors can make text gifts through all of the major cell phone providers. The CFO/CF of TC uses the non-profit Mobile Giving Foundation, an industry leader in empowering non-profits through wireless communications.
All gifts made to the Branson Area Tornado Relief and Recovery Fund are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the IRS. The Community Foundation of Taney County, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, will create a grant panel to make decisions on the use of the funds based on where needs or gaps in funding arise in the recovery process.
Eligible grant recipients would be 501(c)3 non-profit agencies that will be providing direct services for storm-related needs or groups with similar tax-exempt status such as government or faith-based organizations.
Donations in any amount also can be made online at: www.cfozarks.org/donate; or by mail to: Community Foundation of the Ozarks, P.O. Box 8960, Springfield, MO 65801. Please note “Branson Area Tornado Relief and Recovery Fund” in the fund/program box online or on checks.
