A few months ago our website featured the groundbreaking for a Community Foundation of the Ozarks rain garden adjacent to the Jordan Valley Trail. We thought that you would like to see the fruits of our labor—truly a place for beauty and education. Replete with educational sign, the rain garden is visited every day by the many runners, walkers, and cyclists who frequent the Jordan Valley Trail. Brimming full with native plants, the CFO rain garden is yet another addition to a sustainable and rejuvenated Springfield center city.
The project was made possible by a grant from CFO’s Stewardship Ozarks Initiative and in-kind commitments from James River Basin Partnership, City of Springfield, and the Missouri Department of Conservation.
