Since our founding on April 4, 2003, Ste. Genevieve County Community Foundation has distributed more than $4.9 million back to the community. The foundation's goal is to serve as a “ready-made” tax-exempt foundation, or charity, for people who wish to contribute money or property for the lasting benefit of the people and communities of Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri.

June 16, 2021 — The Ste. Genevieve County Community Foundation has awarded total grants of $10,000 to three nonprofit agencies for recovery needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The grants are made possible by the Louis L. and Julia Dorothy Coover Charitable Foundation, managed by Commerce Trust Company in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. The SGCCF is one of 30 CFO affiliate foundations to receive Coover grant funding this year and chose to use its award to hold a community recovery grant round for eligible nonprofits.
The SGCCF awarded its Coover Regional Recovery Grants to:
“One of the benefits of the CFO’s affiliate network is the ability of local leaders to make decisions in the best interests of their own communities,” said Jill Reynolds, senior vice president at Commerce Trust. “Using leaders across rural Missouri to award Coover Charitable Foundation grant dollars has contributed to this partnership’s success in distributing more than $7 million since 2002.”
The Ste. Genevieve County Community Foundation is currently accepting grant applications for the General Grant Fund at any time. Eligible applicants must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit or government entity seeking funds for projects which will benefit the residents and communities of Ste. Genevieve County. The Ste. Genevieve County Community Foundation is currently accepting grant applications for the Economic Development Grant Fund at any time. These applications require a two-step approval process: review and selection for approval by a Review Committee, then approval by the Board. Eligible applicants must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit or government entity seeking funds for economic-development projects which will benefit the residents and communities of Ste. Genevieve County.
