Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO) has received a $500,000 donation from Charlie and Mary Beth O’Reilly. This gift will be used as a 100 percent match to allow other donors to create designated funds at Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO) to benefit BCFO in the years ahead. For every donor who sets up an individual fund, Charlie and Mary Beth O’Reilly have pledged to contribute a dollar-for-dollar match for the first $500,000 pledged through CFO to the BCFO endowment. The donation was announced on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
Mary Beth O’Reilly founded BCFO 17 years ago to make a real difference in the lives of local families impacted by breast cancer. “We hope this gift will inspire others to help bring BCFO to a position of sustainability for future generations,” said Charlie O’Reilly, who serves as a longstanding trustee of BCFO. “We have lived and worked in the region for many years and wanted to give back to a community we love in a way that best helps BCFO’s mission well into the future,” said Mary Beth O’Reilly, founder and chair of BCFO.
