The Community Foundation of Rogersville has been established as an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
The CFO’s 49th affiliate foundation was seeded with a generous donation of $30,000 from Steve and Kirsten Brallier, which creates a permanent endowment fund for the Community Foundation of Rogersville.
“We wanted to try to jumpstart this as fast as we could,” Steve Brallier said at a Nov. 12 presentation at the Citizens Bank of Rogersville. “We’re excited to be a part of this and we know this is going to do great things now and in the coming years.”
In addition, an anonymous donor is offering to match dollar-for-dollar any gifts made to the new foundation up to $100,000.
The Community Foundation of Rogersville will serve the Logan-Rogersville area, which straddles the border of eastern Greene and western Webster counties. It will benefit the area through community grantmaking, new charitable giving options available for residents to support local projects and agencies, public leadership and additional resources available through its affiliation with the CFO.
“I’m very honored to announce this organization because we feel like a community foundation can do great things for Rogersville and can have a lasting impact on so many lives in our community,” founding Board Chair Brian VanFosson said.
The members of the new Board of Governors are: Brian VanFosson, Chair; Shawn Randles, Chair Elect; Annie Lee, Secretary; John Everett, Treasurer; and Steve Brallier, Michael Hendrickson, Jennifer Katzin, Paul Laughlin, Gene McKeen, Chuck Medley, Mike Scott, David Williams and Darin Wray.
Anyone interested in making a tax-deductible gift to meet the challenge grant opportunity can donate online at: www.cfozarks.org/rogersville; or send a check noted for the Community Foundation of the Rogersville/Challenge Grant to the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, P.O.
