New Funds Friday: June 15-28

Every Friday (or almost every Friday) we share the news of new groups and individuals choosing to make philanthropic gifts and investments in their community. Spencer Burke Memorial Scholarship Fund – This scholarship for a Warsaw High School graduate was established by Spencer’s mother, RaShell, to honor him. It is a component of the Benton County Community Foundation.

Richard E. Dorr Memorial Scholarship Fund – Barbara Dorr established this scholarship fund in memory of her husband, Richard, a long-time attorney and judge in Springfield. It will award to a student in the second or third year of law school who graduated from Springfield or Jefferson City high schools.

Giving Meter Fund – The Urban Districts Alliance established this fund to hold funds from the giving meters placed around downtown.

H.A.Y. Foundation Fund – Dave and Amy Koenigsfield established this fund for the H.A.Y. Foundation. This is a component of the Finley River Community Foundation.

Logan Ruth SMA Foundation – Brett and Tia Ruth established this fund in memory and honor of their son, Logan. It will support families dealing with Spinal Muscular Atrophy by granting to 501c3 nonprofits, churches, schools, government entities or vendors associated with the project.

TLC Student Fund – This fund will assist TLC. They are a new Agency Partner in the Youth category and a component of the Marshfield Area Community Foundation.

Dade County Feeding Program Fund – This fund will help provide food to children in the summer months. This is a component of the DACO Community Foundation.

LR Wildcat Walkway Operating Fund – This fund supports Logan-Rogersville Educational Foundation’s effort to have a walkway at the high school.
