The Ozarks Teacher Corps, a project of the Rural Schools Partnership, was profiled in a story on KSPR this week.
Reporter Doug Magditch interviewed Jessica Joiner, of Lebanon, who is majoring in elementary education at Drury University. He also talked to Julie Leeth here at the CFO and traveled to Hartville to interview Superintendent Sharon Hayden. Hartville is a member of the RSP and was the site of the Teacher Corps’ fall field visit to see some innovative programs taking place in the small Wright County district.
The Ozarks Teacher Corps has 18 members in its first class of junior and senior education majors who have agreed to return to teach in a rural district for at least three years after graduation in return for $4,000 annual scholarships.
