Reminder: Former YEP students to present at MSU’s Public Affairs Conference

In case you missed our column in the News-Leader last week, or just haven’t made plans yet, Thursday and Friday are big days for former Youth Empowerment Project students at Missouri State University’s annual Public Affairs Conference.

Tomorrow (Thursday, April 10) at 10 a.m., New York-based filmmaker Peter Carolla will screen his new documentary, “The One Who Builds,” at the Plaster Student Union Theater.

On Friday (April 11), Seymour native Amber Cook will participate in the panel entitled “More than a tool: Pervasive violence against women worldwide.” Cook is currently a drug and alcohol therapist in Sweden.

You can find out more about the Public Affairs Conference here. All sessions are free to attend, though space is limited.
