Musgrave Multi-Year Impact Grants: Keys to Housing 2025 - Jeannette L. Musgrave Foundation

The Community Foundation of the Ozarks, on behalf of the Jeannette L. Musgrave Foundation, is requesting proposals from nonprofits that support affordable and safe housing opportunities for low-income families.

With $250,000 available for 2025, the goal of the “Keys to Housing” grant program is to provide long-term solutions to the lack of affordable housing options in the Springfield metropolitan statistical area of Greene, Christian, Dallas, Polk and Webster counties, with a focus on Greene County.

Agencies may request up to $100,000 per year for up to three years. One-, two- and three-year proposals, with varying amounts each year, can be submitted. Examples of ideal proposals include:

  • Construction of additional or renovation of existing affordable housing units
  • Accessibility improvements to affordable housing units
  • Education programs related to existing affordable housing resources and programs
  • Policy and advocacy efforts directed toward increasing access to safe, affordable housing
  • An emergency fund for families facing displacement

Agencies can find more details and begin the application process at cfozarks.org/applyforgrants. Initial concept letters are due Feb. 20, and finalists will be notified by March 26. Full proposals will be due April 28, with grants announced in mid-June.

“Keys to Housing 2025” is the latest in the Musgrave Multi-Year Impact Grants. Since 2021, programs have supported projects to sustain agencies serving low-income communities; increase civic participation for K-12 students; improve the lives of children; and support foster families in the Springfield metro area.

The Jeannette L. Musgrave Foundation is a private charitable foundation managed by U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management and administered by the CFO. Since 1983, the Musgrave Foundation has granted more than $21 million to nonprofits in Springfield and southwest Missouri.
