Program to merge with ‘Celebrations of Belonging’ for 2022–23 grantmaking cycle
The Community Foundation of the Ozarks has selected the final round of Ozarks Inclusive Opportunity Grant recipients for its 2022 fiscal year. The program, funded through the CFO’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fund, supports smaller grant requests to ensure the representation of diverse voices in community conversations, engagement and leadership.
The following agencies recently received grants totaling $5,000:
- Brentwood Christian Church: $1,500 to support the Building Belonging project, which will provide educational resources for the Springfield community about DEI opportunities.
- Developmental Center of the Ozarks: $1,000 to support the Community Networking for Adults with Disabilities project to improve inclusion of individuals with disabilities in community programs.
- The GLO Center: $1,500 to support the Rural Pride Campaign, which will work in small, rural communities to hold pride celebration events.
- United Ministries in Higher Education: $1,000 to support the Empowering Young Adult Interfaith Leaders program to educate young adults of all faiths on important equity issues.
The program is now closed and will shift to a broader scope for the CFO’s 2022–23 grantmaking cycle, combining with a recently piloted “Celebrations of Belonging” program that supported the Juneteenth event in Springfield and Pride events across the region. More information about the CFO’s upcoming grant programs will be shared at a later date.
