This year’s affiliate conference is scheduled for April 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Mansfield Community Center in Mansfield, MO. The Rural Schools Partnership, a proposed initiative for the 2010 fiscal year, will be at the top of the agenda at this year’s conference. Rachel Tompkins, Rural School and Community Trust president, and Lavina Grandon, Policy and Education Director of Arkansas’s Advocates for Community and Rural Education, will be the featured speakers at the conference. The event will also feature discussions on planned giving, wrapping up the Cooper Campaign, and more.
The next day, Friday, April 17, CFO’s school partners are invited to our Rural Schools Partnership meeting on from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at CFO offices. Rachel Tompkins and Lavina Grandon will again be the featured speakers at the meeting, discussing their extensive experience with rural schools and the potential of CFO’s proposed Rural Schools Partnership.
