Ten Missouri State Cadets awarded Capt. Andrew W. Long, Jr. Scholarship

The CFO scholarship program covers a variety of areas of study, from dentists to doctors to teachers to attorneys. One of the most unique, however, is the Capt. Andrew W. Long, Jr. Scholarship, which is awarded to Army ROTC cadets at Missouri State University.

These scholarship were awarded in early May at Missouri State’s Coger Theater. The Community Foundation’s CFO, Suzy Gray, presented $12,000 in total awards to 10 Missouri State cadets.

The 2014-15 awardees for the Long scholarship are:

Cadet Daniel Harvey; Cadet Jenna Klausing; Cadet Amber Harris; Cadet Shelby Hulsey; Cadet Justin Reynolds; Cadet Amber Odom; Cadet Joe Guy; Cadet Patrick Harp; Cadet Joshua Carr, MSU; and Andrew Schenck (not pictured).

The Andrew W. Long, Jr. Scholarship was founded in 1990. This year $12,000 was awarded to third and fourth year cadets, as per the criteria. The scholarship also takes into consideration financial need, scholastic ability, and military bearing.
